A new satirical performance piece created by 11-14 year old girls
Unity Arts was awarded a grant from The Big Lottery Fund to deliver a three month Theatre Arts Project.
A presentation, called Form Expression, of some of the work that came out of the girls’ research and workshops looking at the portrayal of the female form took place at The Arts Theatre, Great Newport Street, London WC2 on Sunday March 28.
They used Creative Writing, Dance, Movement, Music and Devising to create a new work which looked at the Media, Food, Dieting and Fashion industries and the influence they have on young girls.
